The Killers and Kings of Leon confirmed for Mad Cool 2020


The first festival of 2020 for The Killers and Kings of Leon will bring them to Madrid to headline Mad Cool 2020. The Spanish festival takes place between 8 and 11 July.

The Killers and Kings of Leon will headline and take a spot at the top of the Mad Cool 2020 Poster, a spot next to the previously announced Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Twenty One Pilots.

The Killers

The Killers are an American rock band formed in Las Vegas in 2001. They are currently touring with their latest album Wonderful Wonderful, which was released last year. This summer, you can find them at Rock in Rio Lisbon and at a couple of shows in the UK and Ireland. Fun fact: hit single ‘Mr. Brightside’ is still regularly in the UK singles charts well after its release in 2004.

Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon is a rock band from Nashville formed in 1999. The band’s debut album, Youth & Young Manhood, was released in 2003. The album’s sound was a blend of Southern rock and blues elements whereas their later albums are more focused on an alternative and arena rock sound. After the release of their fourth album Only by the Night in 2008, which includes songs like ‘Sex on Fire’ and ‘Use Somebody’, Kings of Leon gained huge commercial success and the album became their first platinum-selling album in the United States. Since then, the band has won four Grammy Awards and have headlined numerous major festivals around the world. Their latest album WALLS was released in 2016.

Mad Cool 2020

Mad Cool is an annual festival that takes place in Madrid, Spain. Only at its fifth edition, it has nonetheless quickly gained international recognition. Last year, it was headlined by The National, The Cure, and Bon Iver. Acts like Disclosure, Tash Sultana, American Authors, Greta Van Fleet, The 1975, and many more performed there as well.
