Mad Cool 2020 announces Placebo, Glass Animals and many more

Mad Cool 2020 reveals more than 20 new names. Among them the English rock band Placebo, Glass Animals, Parcels, Sam Fender and many more. The Spanish festival takes place from 8-11 July 2020.

Other acts that are also confirmed include Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Clairo, The Struts, Kali Uchis and more. For Placebo, this is one of the first festival announcements for this summer, as the band will be returning to Europe for shows after nearly two years.

Earlier, the Madrid festival confirmed the first six headliners. Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Twenty One Pilots, The Killers, Kings of Leon and Faith No More already lead the line-up. According to the poster, two more headliners remain to be revealed for the Friday.

Glass Animals

Glass Animals started in Oxford, UK, in 2010. The indie rock band consists of Dave Bayley, Drew MacFarlane, Edmund Irwin-Singer, and Joe Seaward. They released their first album, Zaba, in 2014. Their second album, How to Be a Human Being, came two years later, in 2016.

Mad Cool is an annual festival that takes place in Madrid, Spain. Only at its fifth edition, it has nonetheless quickly gained international recognition. Last year, it was headlined by The National, The Cure, and Bon Iver. Acts like Disclosure, Tash Sultana, American Authors, Greta Van Fleet, The 1975, and many more performed there as well.
