Avenged Sevenfold cancel US summer tour

After a successful run of shows in Europe, Avenged Sevenfold have announced the cancellation of their upcoming US summer tour, due to a viral infection affecting the vocal cords of M. Shadows, lead singer of the band.

The American heavy metal band was scheduled to start their ”End of the World” tour alongside Prophets of Rage and Three Days Grace. Their plans also contained headline performances at Impact Festival and Heavy Montreal this summer.

Impact Festival has already announced that Chevelle will headline the second day of the event, while Heavy Montreal added Limp Bizkit to the festival’s lineup, the first time this band plays in Montreal since 2003.

Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold are a heavy metal band from California. They were formed in 1999 and although their first album had a rather metalcore sound, their music style evolved through the years. The death of their drummer James Sullivan in 2009, before the release of their fifth album, Nightmare, has left a big scar on the band. They continued to tour and perform after the tragic events. Since then, the band released two more albums and are considered one of the greatest metal bands performing right now.
