The Rolling Stones to announce 2019 US tour?

According to various rumours the legendary English rock band The Rolling Stones will tour across the United States next year. These shows will be the first performances of the band in North America since 2016.

The Rolling Stones have recently completed the second leg of their European ‘No Filter‘ tour in July 2018. Now, the infamous tongue logo, trademark of the band, has been spotted in various stadiums across the US, including the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami and the Rose Bowl in California.

Moreover, the band is also rumoured to headline the 50th anniversary edition of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The festival has also added an extra date celebrating that way New Orleans music and culture. The full lineup is expected to be announced in December.

Through the years the festival has hosted many important bands and performers from different music genres. Bruce SpringsteenTom Petty, Bob Dylan and many more played at the festival over the years. However, The Rolling Stones have never performed there so far.

The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones are an English rock band from London formed in 1962. The band’s self titled debut was released in 1964 and included many blues covers. These covers drew the  attention of music critics while their career really took off upon the release of their own material in later albums. The Rolling Stones are now considered together with The Beatles the cornerstone of rock music. Although the band’s lineup has changed a couple of times and they also survived many feuds over the past years.

Between 1968-1972 The Rolling Stones have released their best albums including Let it Bleed (1969) , Sticky Fingers (1971) and Exile on Main St. (1972). The band has released thirty studio albums and twenty-six live albums, with more than 250 million estimated record sales.

During the 55 years together as a band, they have received also numerous awards, including three Grammy Awards, while their tours are among the highest-grossing of all time. The Rolling Stones released their latest album Blue & Lonesome in 2015 and their new album is probably expected within 2019.
