The Black Keys announce first tour dates for 2019

The Black Keys are back with their first tour dates. They will perform in the US and Canada with the tour kicking off in September and ending in November 2019.

Last week, the American duo leaked their first song in five years ‘Lo/Hi‘ on Reddit and afterwards published it on major streaming platforms.

The Black Keys are rumoured to play the next anniversary edition of Woodstock Music Festival. If this turns out to be true, other festival dates could follow, perhaps also some in Europe.

The Americans will have a special guest on their “Let’s Rock tour”. Indie rock band Modest Mouse will warm up the stage before The Black Keys.

The Black Keys are an American rock band formed in Akron, Ohio, in 2001. The band is led by Dand Auerbach (guitar) and Patrick Carney (drums). They are the most iconic band of garage rock’s revival in the late ’00s. Indeed, the rockers had a breakthrough in their career with their single ‘Tighten Up’, from the album Brothers released in 2010, which won three Grammy Awards. A year later, they struck again with their album El Camino including their festival anthem ‘Lonely Boy’. They have performed at most of the major music festivals in the world, including Lollapalooza and Glastonbury.
