Another great festival announces big artists this week! Korn, Deftones, Cahrli XCX and many more are just the start of the lineup. The Finnish festival Provinssi takes place from 25 to 27 June 2020.
Provinssi aka “the festival of people” just announced their first names including Korn, Deftones, Charli XCX, Gojira and more. Last year they hosted Limp Bizkit and The Prodigy among other artists.
After performing at Pitchfork Festival Paris and Reading and Leeds this summer, this is the first European festival confirmation for 2020 for Charli XCX. She was previously already confirmed for Australian Laneway and South American Lollapaloozas as well as Estéreo Picnic. However, her summer calendar remains quite free for now and we may expect to see her at some other festivals next summer as well.
If you are good at understanding Finnish, here is the official announcement:
For now, 8 artists are already on the lineup:
- System of a Down
- Korn
- Deftones
- Charli XCX
- Disturbed
- Gojira
- Hatari
- Hassien Kone
It is only the beginning of this lineup that looks wonderful and eclectic (as we have Charli XCX between all this rock) already. We can notice that Hatari, that represented Iceland during the Eurovision, is announced as well, and is expected to prepare an impressive show. We may also expect big artists from other musical genres to be announced. More than everything some names from the rock scene are expected to complete this lineup.
Charli XCX
Charli XCX is an English pop singer. In 2012, she collaborated with Icona Pop on the hit song ‘I Love It’. A year later, Charli released her debut album True Romance, followed by Sucker in 2014. She has worked with many big artists, including Troye Sivan, Iggy Azalea and Tove Lo. Earlier in 2018, Charli released the first single from her upcoming third album, featuring Lizzo. She also made a wonderful duo with Christine and the Queens.
