4.01 Important information about image rights & image use

If you need an image for a visual, for example, you could search for the image in the media library. You can use most photos. If the description says: restricted use (or something like that), you can only use it at the named festival. Some images may not only be used at a specific festival, but are also linked to a specific year of that festival.

So when it says: “RESTRICTED USE: PINKPOP 2019 CONTENT ONLY”, you may not use this photo for a visual of Pinkpop 2021.

Searching for photos yourself

If there is no photo of a particular band or festival in the media library, you can search for a photo yourself. However, you cannot just pick any photo from the internet. You can always look for press photos for bands. You can always use these. The press photos can often be found on the websites of festivals or concert halls. Sometimes you can also download a press kit from a band’s website.

For photos of festivals it is best to take a screenshot from a video. From the aftermovie, for example.
