Gorillaz tease new album release June 2018

The English virtual band Gorillaz has teased that their new album The Now Now will be released this summer on 29 June.

During All Points East Festival in London this weekend, various posters appeared that referred to the website thenownow.tv. As you can see in the teaser video, the silhouette of Gorillaz’s 2-D can be distinguished with a guitar. Moreover, one of the posters contained a quote that appeared recently in the artwork of Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett.

Hewlett has previously announced that a new album will be coming in 2018. Gorillaz have also recently performed two new songs – ‘Hollywood’, featuring Snoop Dogg, and ‘Idaho’ – during the South American leg of their Humanz tour.

The band will be touring across Europe this summer with performances scheduled at many festivals, including SzigetPaléo Festival NyonBoomtown Fair and many more.
