Slash is an American-English songwriter and musician born in 1965. He is best known as the guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in 1980s and 1990s. Before leaving Guns N’ Roses in 1996, he formed his first solo band Slash’s Snakepit. The band featured also some members of Guns N’ Roses like Matt Sorum and Gilby Clark. In 2002 he co-founded the supergroup Velvet Revolver, re-establishing him as a mainstream performer in mid 2000s. Slash has released since 2010 four solo albums three of them featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. He is also one of the best guitar players of all time while he was also inducted in 2012 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Guns N’ Roses’ classic line-up. After many speculations Slash also returned to Guns N’ Roses in 2016.
