Slayer have big plans for next summer. The metal band just confirmed they will extend their Final World Tour until the end of 2019.

Great news for metal fans as Slayer will continue their farewell tour to make time for Europe’s big summer festivals. The band’s Final World Tour already started earlier this year in the USA and Canada and will continue in Europe this autumn.

The new extension does not really come as a surprise. A few months ago, Hellfest already confirmed the band for 2019. This gives us hope that more festival additions will follow soon.

Slayer are one of the biggest American thrash metal bands still touring today. Formed in 1981 by Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, they belong to the ‘Big Four’ of thrash metal, together with Metallica, Anthrax and Megadeth. Their unique sound, combining heavy vocals with fast drumming and shredding guitars, influences many metal bands. After releasing twelve studio albums and being nominated for five Grammy Awards, the Americans have begun their farewell tour in 2018. After the North American leg of the tour, the band will tour across Europe in late 2018.
