Rumoured: AC/DC to announce 2019 European tour

AC/DC

After speculation about a new AC/DC album a few months ago, there are now new rumours. Will the band be back in Europe in summer 2019?

The possibility of a new AC/DC album has surfaced after the band’s rhythm guitarist’s, Malcolm Young’s death. The rumours included a possibility of a follow-up tour.

In August 2018, photos from Vancouver, Canada showed Angus Young and his associates Phil Rudd, Stevie Young and Brian Johnson on the balcony of the Warehouse studio where the band had previously recorded their last three studio albums.

The assumption, of course, suggests that AC/DC are working on a new album, possibly with songs written by Malcolm Young before his death.

According to German website, AC/DC will have a concert in Cologne’s Rhein-Energie Stadium next summer, more specifically on 29 June 2019. They also stated that the announcement will be official in a few days or weeks. Confirming that information, we might also expect a European stadium tour or festival appearances from the band.

Summer 2019 is going to be a comeback year for classic bands including KISS and Eagles. It would be only perfect to see the Australian legends joining the fun.

Update: the rumoured show in Cologne now seems to rest on a mistake. The concert on 29 June 2019 is by Muse, and not by AC/DC.
