While many people around the world are stuck at home because of the coronavirus outbreak, we pass the time with an iconic performance by one of this summer’s festival headliners. Today we give you the concert of Kendrick Lamar at Reading Festival 2018.
After four albums and one Pulitzer prize, Kendrick Lamar has several summer festivals scheduled for this summer. The American hip hop superstar tops the bill at Rock Werchter, NOS Alive and Roskilde, among others. In the meantime, let’s look back at his performance at Reading Festival 2018.
Live at Reading 2018
In 2018, Kendrick Lamar is only the second hip hop headliner in the history of Reading & Leeds. The first one was Eminem, which says a lot about the newly acquired status of King Kenny. But it comes as no surprise, really. His last album, DAMN., is a masterpiece, and the previous two were also critically acclaimed.
At the British festival, he is headlining the Saturday, with Fall Out Boy headlining the Friday, and Kings of Leon closing the stage on Sunday.
When Kendrick takes the stage at Reading, he gives a short but very intense performance, with seven songs from DAMN., a few from the other LPs, and 2 covers: ‘Goosebumps’ by Travis Scott and ‘Collard Greens’ by Schoolboy Q. Watch the entire performance below:
