Rammstein has not released any studio albums since 2009’s Liebe ist für alle da, and fans have long anticipated a new album. There have been several rumors about it since 2015. During the summers of 2016 and 2017, Rammstein was on tour, headlining major European festivals, and also performing in the United States. While most people anticipated new material from the band, fans had no reason to be disappointed: Rammstein released a live concert DVD of their show in Paris, which took place in March 2012 at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy. The live concert video was premiered in selected cinemas in March 2017, and the footage titled ‘Paris’ was released in DVD and Blu-Ray format on 19 May 2017.

As for the updates regarding a new album, Rammstein has posted several pictures on their official Facebook page last Saturday, 14 April, with the caption “Work in progress!”. The post does not include any details about an official release date, or what the title of the new record will be. However, this is promising news, definitely something worth looking forward to! Especially, as a new album also means Rammstein will start touring again after the album release! No concrete details are known about the Germans’ current plans for touring, but there is a high chance we will be able to catch the band with a headlining show at several European and American festivals. Keep our fingers crossed until official dates come out!

I am a concert and festival enthusiast from Hungary, living in the United Kingdom studying History and International Relations. I've been to various festivals in Europe, and my optimal number of festivals I need to visit a year is 3, but we all know that the more the merrier! My favourite genres are rock and metal, but I am open to all different kinds of music. Favourite bands? Name the sub-genre and I tell you my choice! ;)
