The long-awaited release of the American progressive metal band Tool is taking its final form. The front man of the band, Maynard James Keenan, has now confirmed that Tool finished recording their fifth album.
Following Maynard James Keenan’s update in September about the plans of the band to release new music in 2019, he has now revealed that his final vocals have been fully tracked. The other band members’ parts for the upcoming release were also recorded previously. According to Keenan, the album is currently in the ”long process of mixing”. The exact release date of the album, however, remains a mystery.
Earlier, it was also confirmed that Tool will return to Europe next summer after many years of absence. The band will be performing in many European countries and will also headline many festivals including Hellfest, Rock Werchter, and Rock am Ring.
