Pukkelpop is an annual, three-day festival held near Hasselt, Belgium. Since its first edition in 1985, it has grown to encompass ten stages and over 200 artists. Its lineup covers every possible genre, from hip hop and dance to indie rock and heavy metal. In recent years, headliners included superstars Rihanna, Eminem and Björk, rock bands Foo Fighters and The Stone Roses, heavy metal legends Metallica and Iron Maiden, and electronic acts LCD Soundsystem, The Prodigy and Daft Punk.
Apart from the always impressive musical lineup, the Belgian festival is known for its beautiful decor. It also features street theatre and a wide range of culinary options. Diversity really is the key word at Pukkelpop.
How do I get to the festival?
Pukkelpop is easily accessible by public transport. You can take the train to Hasselt or Kiewit station. Kiewit is only a short walk from the festival site, while buses will take you from Hasselt.
When traveling from further away, the most convenient airport is probably Brussels, or alternatively Eindhoven (NL). From there, you can take a train to the festival site.
The festival site is also easily accessible by car. There are various parking areas, which cost €5 per day.
Is there a festival camping?
Pukkelpop has two big campsites, named Chill and Relax. Chill is located opposite the festival site, while Relax is a one-hour walk away. Shuttle buses will take you from Relax to the festival.
Both campsites are included in your combi ticket, while day ticket holders can stay at Relax.
